This three dimensional ceramic wall tile is inspired by the landscape of Northern New Mexico. The mesa and road is contrasted by a colorful sunset. The design wraps around the edge of the piece onto the sides, creating interest at every angle.
This piece is made by painting leather-hard clay with underglaze then meticulously carving out every detail with a tiny gouging tool.
The piece is 8" wide by 8" long and is 2" tall. A built in ceramic hanger on the back of the piece provides easy installation and display.
